Origins
Along with culturally significant repeated triangle motif, or seated design, the yellow gourd (center of vest) can be found everywhere in this region. The gourd is central to the creation story, from where the first people ( Lahu) emerged. Interestingly, the creator, E-Sha, is composed of both male and female beings.
